Cast prototypes are typically
used for the following:
- Aesthetic evaluations from management or other involved design groups
- Provides marketing with samples for customer feedback and very early evaluations
- Eliminates some production tooling in low production volumes
- Can be used to test the operation
theory of a product, as well as, evaluate the human engineering factors of a design
- Provides samples to catalog photographic
sessions and trade show demonstrations even before production tools are complete,
allowing order taking and production planning
Our
standard cast prototypes have a cycle time of 30 minutes; however, multiple silicone
molds can be made to meet rapid time frames where a high quantity of parts are
needed.
Urethanes are available with Durometers of Shore 10A to Shore 90D.
